VisionQwest has a set-up of 60 workstations that can accommodate up to 180 transcriptionists working on a 3-shift schedule. Capable of expanding to 100 workstations, the facility is able to provide round-the-clock medical data transcription service at no less than a 98% accuracy rate. At a given 500 lines per day capacity (per transcriptionist), some 22,500 lines per day may be achieved.

VisionQwest's main production facility occupies a 237-square meter floor area within the First Life Building in Makati City, (Metro Manila) Philippines. The transcription area can hold 60 to 100 workstations, each one fully equipped with the standard PC system, headset, foot pedal, 17-in monitor, p4 units, and licensed software(s).

VisionQwest is highly sensitive to the confidential nature of the physician-patient relationship. The company has taken great steps to assure utmost confidentiality, not only in compliance with the strict HIPAA guidelines but also in accordance with basic moral and ethical code of privacy. To guarantee confidentiality, the following procedures are strictly implemented:

 Each personnel, transcriptionist and editor with access to sensitive information is required to sign confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.

 Data storage and access are server-based and password protected.

 Single point of entry/exit for voice and document files ensures the direct return of data to the provider.

 A document management system developed in-house assures limited access to stored files.

 Uninterrupted operation is guaranteed by a continuous power supply from a stand-by genset for emergency situation.

 An ISP double back-up system guarantees continuous internet access so that downloading and uploading of files are not hampered.

 Data security is efficiently managed by maintaining firewalls; units areprotected by Anti-Virus software, with individual firewall unit security toprevent spread of virus infections.

 As a security measure, MTs and editors are assigned individual accounts for server access, to allow monitoring of network activities and to limit access to unauthorized sites.
